Assistant Finance Manager

Job Description
Minimum requirements
- Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 510 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
- Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and reporting processes
- Proven ability to conduct financial planning, analysis, and forecasting
- Skilled in using financial tools and accounting software, including Xero, Dext, and Payspace Advantage
- Highly organised with excellent time management abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of working both independently and within a collaborative team structure
- Previous exposure to the hospitality industry will be advantageous
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Support senior finance in strategic planning and decision-making
- Manage budgeting and assist with variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Supervise the bookkeeper and oversee accurate transaction recording
- Liaise with auditors and assist in audit processes
- Deliver regular financial reporting and forecasts for operational review
- Be part of a growing, multi-site hospitality group in Cape Town
- Play a key role in shaping and supporting sound financial practices
- Gain diverse exposure to both strategic and operational finance functions

This is an on-site role based in Cape Town CBD.
