Job Description


A well-established short term insurer is seeking to appoint a Assistant Company Secretary and Statutory Liaison
To assist in the facilitation and administration of Company Secretary duties as outlined in the Companies Act and guided by PFMA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Degree / Diploma in Law.
  • Completed or Studying towards Chartered Governance Institute of South Africa (CGISA) qualification.
Experience:
  • 4 years' experience in a Secretariat Environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Meeting management
  • Provide for the proper recording of minutes in relation to all Executive Committee and Board meetings.
  • Ensure the correct registration of Directors.
  • Assist in recommendation of Directors to the board.
  • Ensure meetings have quorum and reschedule if required.
Compliance with regulations
  • Adherence to National Treasury compliance dates.
  • Requesting information for report to the relevant regulatory bodies.
Query referrals
  • Attending to queries in relation to Board and Compliance issues.
  • Processing queries.
  • Delivering queries to the appropriate person to resolve.
Ad hoc duties
  • Perform any reasonable task as and when required by the Line Manager.
