Summary
To conduct financial analysis and reporting on commercial elements of the companys products and services, towards ensuring accurate costing of products and enhanced product margins.
Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
MONTHLY REPORTING

• Download SAP reports, and Liaise with Bulk and Finished Goods Logistic team, where there are discrepancies and ensure that all transport costs from Weighbridge management systems (Wayware) reconciles to Trial Balance.
• Maintain the ad-hoc tracker (spreadsheet), reconcile rebates (Adhocs and Truck Allowance), and allocate reversals and accruals for rebates in SAP.
• Calculate final Average Selling Price (ASP) per category and channel ensuring it reconciles to Management Report.
• Analyse Selling Variables against volumes recorded in SAP for accuracy and completeness.
• Review and provide explanations for all Selling &Distribution, Marketing, Cost of Sales and Other Income/Expenses GL accounts, including re-allocations and suggest corrections where there are errors, for further review by management.
• Prepare operational costs schedules per category and ensure accuracy of expenses per product category.
• Review Raw Materials / Imported Products and ensure that they are captured accurately by relevant teams in
• accordance with Group Policy. Follow up on discrepancies with relevant stakeholders in Commercial and provide
• suggested corrections.
• Prepare and capture month end journal entries.
• Prepare monthly and year to date Cost Centre Reports for Sales Department for further review by management
• and distribute approved reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare customer and company profitability reports for Channel Heads by reviewing revenue, selling variables,
• cost of sales, transport, finance costs and incentives provided and report on the final average selling price and
• gross profit per unit.
• Involvement Investigate and analyse queries that arise during Costing Run on a monthly basis.
• Conduct stock counts monthly, where needed.

FORxefxbbxbfECAST AND PRICING MODEL

• Prepare Product Costing Forecast Model for Canola and Calculate Market Replacement for various categories (including Canola) and complete the Pricing Model for all categories, to enable Sales Teams to arrive at the appropriate Price in the Market.
• Prepare schedules to reflect cost breakdown of materials purchased (additional landside/conversion costs required, transport costs and quantity of material transferred to the plant).
• Prepare interim results report to show current volume sold, average selling price, cost and gross margin to assist with forecasting.
• Update Minimum Pricing schedule for uploading to the system and distribution to the relevant parties.

BUDGETING

• Prepare previous year cost centre reports, include forecasted full year amount and submit to management.
• Prepare budget schedules according to various stakeholders preferences on request.

ANALYSIS

• Analyse gross margin at month end. and deep dive into aspects such as but not limited to by product category/channel, Products (SKUs), trends, transportation, packaging, adhoc requests etc, and identify and investigate anomalies.
• Prepare Product Cost analysis report per category for Sales Team Channel Heads.
• Prepare Gross Margin assumptions for new product development, ensure that it aligns with Market/Competitor
• prices and contributes to profitability.
• Coordinate projects to determine financial feasibility of possible company ventures as assigned (i.e. financial Compile budget Presentation Slides modelling and scenario analyses).

GOVERNANCE RISK AND COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT

• Review cost reporting against business requirements and provide input for improvement where necessary.
• Handle tasks related to audit findings as assigned by the Financial Controller,
• Attend to internal and external audit requests.
• Compile reports within financial deadlines.

Minimum Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS

• BCom Degree in Accounting/Financial Management or related
• Certified Financial Analyst is advantageous

EXPERIENCE

• 2 years experience in related role
