Purpose of the Role

The Assistant Chief Operations Officer (Assistant COO) will support the Chief Operations Officer in the management and coordination of the company's operational activities. The role is a key position within the operational leadership team and is intended to provide exposure to senior operational decision-making and leadership development.

The Assistant COO may be called upon to act on behalf of the COO as required, ensuring continuity of operations and smooth management across departments.

Key Responsibilities

? Support the COO in implementing operational strategies, policies, and procedures.

? Assist in monitoring and improving operational performance across functions.

? Provide leadership and guidance to operational managers and teams.

? Act for the COO when required, ensuring uninterrupted operations.

? Assist with reporting, performance tracking, and strategic decision-making.

? Contribute to process improvement, risk management, and compliance initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

? Tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

? At least

5 years' experience

in senior operational management or a related role in the food industry.

? Proven leadership and team management experience.

? Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.

? Ability to exercise discretion, integrity, and professionalism.

Desirable Attributes

? Exposure to executive-level operations or leadership roles.

? Experience with organisational development, process optimisation, or succession planning.

? Strong financial and strategic awareness.
