An exciting opportunity has opened for a hands-on Assistant Catering Manager / Sous Chef to join a dynamic catering team in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.
Were looking for someone with solid chef experience and a good understanding of the catering market, who can balance culinary creativity with operational execution. This is a client-facing role, ideal for someone organised, reliable, and passionate about delivering top-quality food and service.
Description
Key Requirements:

  • Experience as a Chef, with strong catering background
  • Ability to manage kitchen stock and cater for functions up to 150 pax
  • Confident meeting suppliers and attending events
  • Comfortable with food deliveries, lunch drop-offs, and collections
  • Willing to work early mornings (for breakfasts), evenings (for functions/weddings), and weekends as needed
  • Capped at 45 hours per week, plus overtime pay
  • Knowledge of social media is an added advantage
  • Valid drivers license and own transport to/from work
  • Must be reliable, professional, and client-facing
Minimum Requirements
Contract Details:
  • Fixed-term contract until April 2026
  • Strong potential to become permanent
  • Use of company vehicle while on duty
