This role reports to the Senior Area Manager and develops and manages the Brand activity for all Edrington brands across East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Mozambique & Rwanda) alongside with the Customer Marketing Manager. The role is responsible to plan, manage, deliver and execute local brand strategies and marketing activities aligned to the global strategy and collaborates closely with the Customer Marketing Manager, Senior Area Manager, Education Team, Distribution partners and On and Off Trade Key Accounts in East Africa.They have overall responsibility for the optimisation and active management of A&P budgets and development, management and execution of annual Through-the-Line activity calendars within their local region aligned to Global Brand strategy and Edringtonxe2x80x99s Marketing Code. They also form part of and contributes to the wider regional marketing community and their deliverables across the MEAI region.Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:Plan, Brief in, Execute and Manage all brand and marketing activities that delivers for both the internal needs of the business and the requirements of our external brand partners while incorporating any relevant market opportunities from internal and distributor teams, trade customers and consumersManage, and process payments of the Annual A&P budgets against approved activities reviewing this with the Customer Marketing Manager, Distribution Partners and Agencies on a monthly and quarterly basisLead the implementation of global campaigns and develop local campaigns where appropriate (and with approval) working closely with local agencies, education team and the Customer Marketing ManagerSupport activation activities across agency and education team through sharing/developing agency briefs, submitting supporting stock and POS requests and engaging with global brand teams for approvals or asset requests.Lead the development, management, & completion and implementation of Growth Plans with full involvement with the regional growth planning process alongside the Customer Marketing ManagerManage day to day relationship with agencies, the education team and Distribution Partner xe2x80x93 ensuring brand priorities are aligned and activities executed as per annual calendar. Support access to and share Edrington campaign assets across key agencies and distribution partners and brief in activities as approved per Edrington brand.Ensure Regional Senior Marketing Manager and wider MEAI team are kept up to date with all in market activities and through relevant marketing reports required on a monthly and quarterly basis;Ensure all localised activities and plans are in line with brand owner guidelines and relevant legal requirements as well as Edrington Global Marketing Code. Ensure all agencies and relevant vendors are trained and adhere to guidelines and the Edrington Global Marketing Code.Manage the portfolio prioritisation within the markets to ensure the correct focus/priority per Edrington brandKeep up to date with market trends and insights and communicate relevant data to the wider teamComplete specialist project work as requested by the Customer Marketing Manager or Area ManagerSkills and ExperienceSeeking a high performing individual with extensive experience, this role demands budget management, a commercial mindset, and campaign ROI expertise. Adapting global strategies for local markets, it requires cocktail knowledge, understanding of alcohol production, and insights into East African liquor trade. Proficiency in advertising (social media, in-store, DOOH), alcohol category strategy, and presentation skills is crucial. Attention to detail, initiative, cross-cultural adaptability, negotiation skills, and strong English communication are essential. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office is a must.
