Job Description

Co-ordinates and undertakes specialized/ technical civil construction trade work associated with
controlling the operations pertaining to Road and Storm-water maintenance programme activities
Key Responsibility AreasInterprets and co-ordinates specific pre-work/ site requirements associated with repairs and
planned, predictive maintenance.
Controls personnel, performance, productivity and discipline.
Executes specialized/ trade related tasks and monitors and evaluates progress with regards
to road and storm-water construction, repair and maintenance work.
Interacts and provides activity related information with regards to the works.
Performs specific tasks associated with the operation of heavy and/or specialized vehicles
(Tip trucks, Crane trucks, Vactor etc) during road and storm-water drainage maintenance
activities.
Performs specific administrative tasks/ activities associated with the updating and maintain
records/ information related to the activities/ operations

Essential RequirementsTrade Tested Artisan in the Civil Construction industry or equivalent.
Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code C1).
Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
Valid certification of competency in the operation of truck mounted cranes or to be obtained
within 6 months from the date of appointment.
Certification in Basic First Aid to be completed within 6 months from date of appointment.
2 Years relevant experience.
