INTRODUCTION:
Komatsu has an opportunity for a qualified Heavy Earthmoving Mechanic to join our team in Germiston. The successful candidate must have 3 years' experience in the heavy earthmoving/mining equipment industry and a Trade Certificate as Heavy Earthmoving Mechanic.
QUALIFICATION:
- N2/ Grade 12.
- Trade Certificate as Heavy Earth Moving Mechanic.
- 3 years experience in the earthmoving/mining equipment industry.
- MS Office (Outlook, Excel & Word).
- Driver's License.
- Remain up to date with safety procedures.
- Takes SHEQ into account in the planning of work output.
- Conduct Hazardous identification & Risk Assessment.
- Perform HIRA with team members before each task.
- Implement the Komatsu Way 5S's - Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain.
- Comply with tooling and vehicle inspections as per standard, applicable policy and or regulation.
- Report ALL incidents during the shift to leadership.
- Conduct daily, weekly, quarterly, annual inspections.
- Reports equipment that is not in good working order.
