Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Patrol assigned areas on foot to detect signs of intrusion or unsafe conditions. Monitor surveillance systems and access points to ensure security of premises. Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious activity. Provide visible deterrence to criminal activity by maintaining a professional presence. Enforce facility rules, regulations, and procedures. Write detailed incident and shift reports. Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary. Perform access control and verify credentials of personnel and visitors. Ensure firearm is carried, maintained, and used in accordance with company policy and legal guidelines.
Requirements:
Valid armed security guard license and firearm permit (state-specific). Prior security experience preferred. Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations. Strong observational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Physically fit and able to stand or walk for long periods. Must pass background check, drug screening, and firearms qualification.
Working Conditions:
May be exposed to varying weather conditions. Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Possibility of standing or walking for extended periods and performing physical interventions.
