Job Summary
Our client in the FMCG Industry is currently looking to employ an Area Sales Representative, based in Cape Town.
Requirements:
A relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous).
Proven sales experience in the Food Service FMCG sector.
Experience dealing with national and regional clients with a strong record of success.
Ability to work independently in a self-disciplined manner while meeting objectives.
Must be willing and able to travel locally.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational and reporting abilities with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve sales targets.
Results-driven with solid planning and time management skills.
Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Area Sales Manager - Food Service.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve volume, revenue, and market share targets in the assigned area.
Manage a portfolio of existing customers and secure new business with restaurants, hotels, caterers, cafes, and institutional clients.
Drive sales to meet company objectives, focusing on sales volumes and pricing targets set by the Area Sales Manager.
Build and manage relationships with foodservice clients (national and regional), including restaurants, QSRs, catering companies, and institutional clients.
Provide input into sales forecasting, waste management, and logistics to ensure timeous delivery.
Compile weekly and monthly feedback reports for the Area Sales Manager with data analysis and interpretation.
