Job Description
Our client has an opportunity available for an Area Sales Manager based in Durban.
Requirements:
- Degree or studying towards a relevant higher-level qualification.
- Code 10 vehicle license.
- People Management experience.
- Ability to travel when required.
- Implement and manage the sales executive strategy.
- Implement and control shelf management initiatives.
- Enhance performance and team development.
- Manage Account Managers and Merchandisers within the area.
- Increase profit and sales volumes within the area and within product categories.
- Liaise with Marketing, Key Account Managers and Principals.
- Implement agreed sales program and outcomes
- Reinforce the Company's merchandising principles.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure product availability.
- Take action to prevent short dated and expired stock.
- Manage employee performance and development.
- Train sub-ordinates according to identified needs.
- Develop sales and business skills of Account Managers and Merchandisers.
Must have managed account managers and merchandisers at various sites and retail stores
Able to travel on a daily basis seeing clients and ensure sales are achieved
