Job Description
Durban and Western Cape Coastal. National Retail Chain seeks experienced sales driven Area Manager to take charge of 7 stores in the Durban and Western Cape Region.
- Evaluate and promote improved service to customers at all times.
- Support, motivate and manage store managers, including disciplinary action if required.
- Control and monitoring of store Fixtures.
- Monitoring of stores monthly sales and growth in accordance with company targets.
- Implement strategic initiatives as required by the Head of Retail.
- Ensure that all planned products are received and displayed in all affected stores.
- Responsible for merchandising of stores as per the agreed upon guidelines.
- Evaluate and analyse allocated stores monthly sales and growth in accordance with monthly targets.
- Implement and maintain store disciplines as per company policies.
- Adhere to and implement procedures as per the companyxe2x80x99s Procedure manual.
- Address complaints and resolve problems within all stores as required.
- Advise Head of Retail of concerns relating to the operational issues and general correspondence.
- Oversee and manage stock takes in stores when required.
- Ensure that general correspondence is adhered to as outlined by the Line Manager.
- Manage and responsible for health and safety of stores.
- Maintenance of all stores.
At least 5 years Retail Management experience
Chain Store experience as an Area Manager
Strong merchandising knowledge
Sound IR knowledge
Computer literate
Valid Drivers Licence
Relevant Tertiary Qualification preferred
