The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Western Cape Government has an exciting employment opportunity for a suitably qualified individual to render services which supports the fostering of a provincial identity and the protection of rights by preserving a provincial archival heritage for use by the government and the nation according to the Provincial Archives and Records Service of the Western Cape Act, 2005 (Act No. 3 of 2005).
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Information Management Systems or related qualification; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.

Approval of electronic records management systems; Development and maintenance of electronic records management systems; Audits of electronic records management systems; Guides and directives: compilation, update and distribution.
Competencies
Knowledge of the following:
Legislation, policies and procedures of the Western Cape Archives and Records Service; Public Management practices in SA and in other countries; Financial Management and Supply Chain Management Services; Public Service reporting structures; Strategic planning; Meeting procedures; It will be advantageous to have a Post Graduate Qualification in Archival Studies
Skills needed:
Communication (written and verbal); Proven computer literacy; Research; Problem solving; Analytical and strategic thinking; Presentation skills.
Remuneration
R 325 101 - R 382 959 per annum (Salary level 7)

Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting.
