Job Description
Our client in the Engineering sector is looking for an Architect to join their team for a project in KwaZulu Natal, Kwa Dukuza.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree or Diploma in Architecture or related field.
- Full registration as a Professional Architect (Pr.Arch.Tech/Pr Arch with SACAP (non-negotiable).
- 5+ years of experience in low-cost housing, urban design, and sustainable development projects.
- Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and sustainable design principles.
- Design low-cost housing and urban development projects, prioritizing sustainability and functionality.
- Prepare architectural drawings, specifications, and 3D models for housing projects.
- Conduct site analyses to ensure designs align with environmental and urban planning requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including municipalities and communities, to meet project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainable design standards.
- Integrate sustainable materials and technologies to enhance energy efficiency and environmental impact.
- Manage project documentation and present designs to clients and regulatory bodies.
