QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
Required:
Bachelors Degree or National Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Preferred:
Certification in ITIL or equivalent Service Management framework
Experience with SAP, or validated GxP systems
Vendor or product-specific certifications (e.g., Microsoft, SAP, Sage)
Experience needed to deliver the role seamlessly:
Minimum 5 years experience in enterprise applications administration or IT systems support
Solid understanding of system administration, access control, and application support
Experience managing incidents, service requests, and change controls in a structured IT environment
Familiarity with backup, patching, and upgrade processes for business-critical systems
Exposure to regulated or validated environments (pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing
Preferred:
Experience working within GxP-compliant systems and documentation practices
Familiarity with cloud-based and hybrid application environments
Knowledge of data integrity and cyber-security principles in a manufacturing context
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Core Technical Delivery:
Applications Management
Administer and monitor enterprise applications, ensuring system availability and performance
Manage application access control, roles, and permissions
Perform system configuration and updates in accordance with change control processes
Conduct routine health checks and data integrity validations
Manage incident and request resolution within agreed SLAs
Coordinate application patching, backups, and upgrades
Support validation activities and maintain system documentation
Ensure compliance with GxP, data integrity, and cyber-security standards
Support and Continuous Improvement
Provide second-line user support and escalate technical issues to vendors when necessary
Participate in testing, validation, and implementation of new system features
Support business process improvement through effective system utilisation
Identify automation or optimisation opportunities across applications
Maintain detailed records of configuration changes and incident resolutions
Quality Management
Ensure all systems are audit-ready and compliant with GMP and data integrity requirements
Participate in system qualification, validation, and re-validation activities
Maintain documentation for deviations, CAPAs, and change controls
Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within IT operations
