Job Description

The core mission of this role is to move beyond traditional IT support and become the definitive owner and subject-matter expert for all clinical oncology applications. This is not a reactive, ticket-logging position. You will be the central point of expertise, responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and strategic evolution of these critical systems. Your impact will be measured by your ability to minimize system downtime, enhance the user experience for clinical staff, and drive improvements that allow for more efficient and effective patient care. You will be the key liaison between the IT function and the Oncology business unit.
Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT application support, with at least 2-3 years specifically managing healthcare systems or clinical applications.
• Demonstrated expertise in ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change and Service Level Management), with current ITIL Foundation certification (v3 or v4).
• Proven experience with healthcare data systems, preferably including oncology-specific applications such as MOSAIQ, ARIA, or equivalent radiation therapy management systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows server environments, SQL databases, and healthcare integration standards (HL7, DICOM, FHIR).
• Verifiable track record of managing at least one major system implementation or upgrade project from requirements gathering through post-implementation support.
• Experience with healthcare data privacy regulations (POPIA) and information security frameworks, with demonstrable history of remediation of audit findings.
