We are looking to recruit an Application Portfolio Manager (BI and Integration) to form part of the IT Data Management & Enterprise Architect Team in the Group IT department. The role will be based at Clicks Head Office in Cape Town and will report to the IT Data Mgnt & Enterprise Architect Exec
Job description
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the job is to ensure that business strategy is enabled, shaped and supported through the delivery of robust, cost conscious and architecturally sound IT solutions for Data Management & Analytics, and Integration.
Job Objectives

  • Ensure and drive alignment and delivery of IT enablement of Business strategy
  • Pro-actively manage key business stakeholders
  • Manage financials within budget (Opex and Capex)
  • Accountable for the accuracy of cradle-to-grave data flows for all processes, with a focus on enabling a data driven business
  • Create conducive delivery environment for a high performing team.
  • Accountable for capacity management in application area
  • Accountable for the Management of SLA performance of software vendors and 3rd party service providers to ensure that promises to the business are met.
  • Ensure service and support SLA's are met for line of business
  • Stay abreast of relevant application systems and technologies, and work in concert with other Application Portfolio Managers, Data Architect, Technical team leads and Enterprise Architecture to influence business thinking with respect to potential business solutions and benefits.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • BSc in Information Technology or Equivalent Technical Degree, or Equivalent years of Experience
  • Data Science and/or AI/ML certifications (Desirable)
  • 5-10 years IT management experience
  • 5-10 years data management experience
  • 2 years retail experience
  • 2 years retail experience
  • IT systems and solutions experience
  • Extensive experience dealing with 3rd party services
  • Data Architecture experience
  • Business Intelligence experience
  • MDM implementation experience
  • DevOps experience
  • IT Application development experience
  • SOA experience
  • Project delivery / Management experience
  • Policy and procedure crafting - Negotiation and prioritisation experience
