Apparel Manufacturing Production Line Supervisor / Manager - MaseruFull job descriptionOur client, a Clothing manufacturer based in South Africa seeks to employ a Production Line Supervisor / manager for their factory based in Lesotho.Kindly view all requirements before applying for this position.Position based in LesothoREQUIREMENTSMust have at least 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a similar position.English with some knowledge of Zulu (Not essential).Must have come from a machining background.Knowledge of Operational breakdowns is required.Ability to be able to work with hourly targets.Ability to motivate staff to achieve required scores, and where necessary discipline staff.Must have extensive knowledge of the manufacture of jackets/ShirtsAssertiveStrong administrative ability, which includes computer skills.Understanding of all costs related to a production line.Applicable work permitsROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee the production process by planning the lines, coordinating and controlling the manufacturing process. Set up the lines to maximize output.Make sure the garments are produced on time and are of a high quality standard.Monitor the hourly production targets and adjust schedules as required and correct underperforming machinistsCosting garments based on SMV.Liaising with different departments to ensure smooth flow of materials and informationEnsure Health and Safe guidelines are followed, as well as Company rules & regulationsSupervising and motivating the different team of workers, while reviewing their progress.Monitor absenteeism and late coming and taking appropriate steps.MAIN KPIs (To be finalized on appointment):1. Maintain Quality - (Rejects rates) with QA Approvals2. On time and in full Delivery (days early vs days late & online units vs offline units)3.
