Job Summary Essential Skills Requirements:

• Deep expertise in Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket/GitHub
• Extensive knowledge of Ansible Core and Ansible Automation Platform/Ansible Tower
• Profound understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure
• Advanced proficiency in Unix and Linux systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES)
• Comprehensive knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and related tools like Terraform
• Familiarity with mounting technologies Autofs and DFS
• Extensive experience in storage technologies and cutting-edge solutions
• Proficient in network technologies and protocols like NFS, CIFS, SSH, DNS, and NTP
• Strong scripting and programming skills in Bash, Python, and Perl
• Additional responsibilities as assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

Qualifications/Experience:

• Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of IT operations experience
• Minimum 5 years of configuration management and automation experience
• Minimum 4 years of ITIL work experience
• Minimum 4 years of Scrum work experience
• Minimum 6 years of operating system administration work experience
• Strong experience with Ansible Core and Ansible Automation Platform (or Ansible Tower/AWX)
• Strong experience with coding and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
• Strong experience with Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES) and Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure)
• Strong knowledge of version control systems (GitHub) and IaC technologies (Terraform)
• Experience with GitOps, ServiceNow, Dynatrace, SIEM technologies (Splunk), Red Hat Satellite
• Linux certification such as RHCSA advantageous
• Ansible certification (RHCE - ex294/ex407) advantageous
• Ansible Tower certification advantageous
• ITIL certification advantageous
• Scrum certification advantageous

Role and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles in a highly secure environment
• Create, manage, and operate Ansible Automation Platform objects such as templates, credentials, workflows, etc.
• Consult users to assist with migrating automation workloads to Ansible Automation Platform
• Deploy, manage, and operate workloads on AWS and Azure, ensuring security controls and compliance requirements
• Create, manage, and operate Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Perform operating system and Ansible Automation Platform lifecycle management
• Interact with Enterprise GitHub for version control and Git branching strategy
• Track and update Jira user stories to ensure due dates are met
• Forecast and plan resources, infrastructure, and licenses for the team
• Ensure stability of systems and adherence to BMW Groupxe2x80x99s Operations standards
• Maintain quality and up-to-date content of knowledge bases and documentation
• Understand complex application architecture/dependencies
• Manage Problem, Incident, and Change processes for dedicated ITSM service
• Maintain documentation in relevant systems
• Attend and moderate operation meetings
• Coordinate external contractors
• Manage security vulnerabilities
