Job Description
Blue Cross Veterinary Hospital is situated in Newlands, Cape Town and requires energetic, experienced
animal handlers
that have skills in animal care and knowledge of animal behaviour, to start as soon as possible.Responsibilities include feeding, cleaning, and providing basic assistance during medical care.
The successful candidates will display patience, attention to detail, and a calm intentional demeanour when handling animals.
Key responsibilities and skills:
Basic care:
Feeding, cleaning boarding spaces/ kennels.Specialized tasks:
Medical bathing, handling animal(s) during consultations or checkups/minor procedures, walking animals on the property.Behavioural knowledge:
Understanding basic animal behaviour to ensure their welfare and provide proper handling techniques.Physical and mental qualities:
Possessing patience, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and in control with nervous animals.We are a dynamic team, looking for a person who will fit in with us as well as work hard and strive to better themselves and the practice.
We are a very busy practice dealing with small and large animals.
This job requires dedication, hard work, focus and attention to detail.
The successful applicants must be punctual, reliable, presentable and well-spoken with a positive and friendly attitude.
Requirements:
Must have experience working with animals
Matric
No criminal record
Hard working, Driven, Loyal and Dedicated.
