WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

PURPOSE OF JOB

: The

Analytical Chemist

will be responsible to execute laboratory analysis that is accurate, reliable and according to the approved specifications and methods in order to support production. Key focus on mechanical testing of composite and double base propellants.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Routine and non-routine analysis to support continuous production. Accountable for basic laboratory administration and interaction with plant personnel. Adhere to quality and safety requirements. Good housekeeping and responsible waste management. Calibration and verification of laboratory equipment. Capable of interpretation of data and sentencing. Liaise with suppliers when there is equipment breakdown. Assist in interpretation of results and writing of reports. Ensure all laboratories comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 17025. Maintain good housekeeping practices. Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy. WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE


National Diploma in Chemistry/Materials Science. BTech/BSc qualification in Chemistry/Material Science would be advantageous. At least 3 years' experience in Chemistry/Material Science discipline. Good interpersonal skills and coordinating capability. Clear security screening record. Good verbal and written communication. Good interpersonal skills and coordinating capability. Good planning and attention to detail. Self-motivated and independent. Computer literate (MS Packages). WHAT WE OFFER YOU
