These services enable farmers to finance land, equipment, improve assets and obtain production credit. The Land Bank provides financial services that have moved with the times and continues to provide services to agri-business and constantly reviews its offerings to ensure that they match the needs of an industry. As change has swept across the sector in South Africa the socio-economic makeup of agriculture has altered, bringing new entrants from historically disadvantaged backgrounds on to the land, these new farmers, facing the challenges of establishing sustainable agri-businesses across the agricultural value chain, Land Bank has been a commercial lifeline offering appropriately designed financial products that facilitate personal and commercial viability in a sector that is vital to the sustainability of South Africa and its people. Reporting to the Executive: Company Secretary, the focus of this role is to take responsibility for all the company secretarial work for the subsidiary companies of the Land Bank Group and to assist with company secretarial work for the Land Bank Group. The role primarily encompasses the day-to-day administration of Land Bank subsidiaries, and with assisting the Executive: Company Secretary with company secretarial work related to the Group.

JOB SUMMARY

Lead and drive the creation and management of a bank wide knowledge information hub in terms of the Agricultural economic sector, different commodity types and their geography to ensure the continuous availability of consistent, up to date enterprise financial information.

Provision of expert input in terms of the standardisation of Agricultural business principles and best practice and ensure the embedding of efficient and effective processes and standards.

The development of financial models through benchmarking and process analysis and thorough research of historical financial information and data industry norms and trends in support of the establishment of a standardised approach across the organisation.
