Job Advert Summary
Job Purpose:
To lead the Financial Crime Risk Management function within Hollard Life Solutions FCRM space, overseeing Anti-Money Laundering (AML), fraud prevention, sanctions screening, and broader financial crime controls. The role includes managing a team of specialists and analysts, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and strategic alignment with Hollard's risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Crime Strategy & Governance

  • Develop/Revise/Review and implement the Financial Crime/AML framework aligned with Hollard Group Risk policies and Life Solutions' business objectives.
  • Serve as the designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for Life Solutions.
  • Lead financial crime and AML risk assessments and ensure risk-based controls are embedded across products, channels, and intermediaries.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Manage and mentor a team of AML specialists and analysts, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure timely investigation, reporting, and monitoring.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and support career development.
  • Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across the team and broader FCRM function.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with FICA, POCA, FATF standards, and FSCA guidance.
  • Oversee the submission of Suspicious and Unusual Transaction Reports (CTRs/STRs/SARs) to the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC).
  • Maintain up-to-date AML/financial crime policies, procedures, and training content.
Monitoring & Investigations
  • Oversee the design, calibration, and performance of transaction monitoring rules and systems.
  • Guide the team in conducting investigations into suspicious activity and ensure timely escalation and resolution.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Group Risk on complex cases and regulatory engagements.
Training & Awareness
  • Drive financial crime awareness across Life Solutions through tailored training, workshops, and campaigns.
  • Ensure all staff and intermediaries understand their obligations and complete mandatory training
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Advise business units on financial crime risks in product design, onboarding, and distribution.
  • Represent Life Solutions in internal governance forums and external regulatory interactions.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • 7 years in AML/Fraud/FC roles, with at least 4 years in a leadership capacity. Insurance or financial services experience is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of AML systems, data analytics, and regulatory reporting.
  • Strategic thinking, stakeholder management, investigative mindset, and strong communication skills.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in law, Finance, Risk, or related field. Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or equivalent certification preferred.
