Job Summary:
GenAI has sparked a revolution in education, and this is a unique role who's ambition is to be at the forefront of education innovation globally. As an AI Solution Architect, you will lead the design and development of innovative GenAI-enabled learning solutions for our clients around the world.
This is a global role, reporting to the Director of Learning and Operations (International), and is both outward-looking, designing and implementing AI solutions that drive educational innovation as well as architecting internal efficiency workflows.
You will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical AI implementations, ensuring that AI models and systems integrate seamlessly with university partner infrastructure and are aligned with business and educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration
Provide leadership and guidance to the GenAI team, with the aim of pioneering GenAI technologies to enhance learner experience and continue to lead the world in effective education solutions.
Lead a team of GenAI specialists in Learning, Production and Technology in order to deliver effective, engaging and scalable learning solutions
Work with global colleagues in our offices in Australia, UK and USA to both understand client needs and strategize innovative and cost effective solutions that will delight clients and students
Stay abreast of GenAI developments and take responsibility for ensuring the rest of the company is skilled and equipped to deliver excellence in a rapidly evolving landscape
Technical Architecture and Implementation:
Lead the design and implementation of robust and innovative education-focused AI application architectures
Drive innovation in education solutions, understanding the evolving needs of students and developing both personalized learning and mastery based GenAI enabled experiences
Architect scalable GenAI solutions that integrate with existing educational technology infrastructure
Develop knowledge bases and RAG systems, integrating vector databases for efficient information retrieval
Oversee the technical implementation of AI-augmented design solutions and student-facing technologies
Data Visualization and Data-Driven Decision-Making
Utilize data-driven insights to refine human-augmented design processes, optimize AI-human task allocation, and improve collaborative workflows
Present efficiency data and ROI findings to executive stakeholders through clear and compelling documentation that demonstrates the business value of human-augmented approaches
Collaborate with account executives, learning architects, and bid writers to outline AI services and technical solutions for sales opportunities
Drive the development of compliance, governance, and ethics frameworks, particularly aligning with United Nations human rights principles, maintaining key documentation
Requirements
Qualifications and Technical Expertise
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Education, AI/ML, Business or related fields
Experience in AI/ML solution architecture and implementation
Advanced understanding of Large Language Models (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini)
Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS) and deployment platforms
Knowledge of API programming, particularly Python and JavaScript
Understanding of vector databases and RAG system implementation
Leadership and Management Skills
Proven experience in client-facing roles in a consulting business
Experience leading a team and collaborating across business functions
Strong project management capabilities with experience in agile methodologies
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and educational technology platforms
Knowledge of data privacy regulations (FERPA, GDPR) in educational contexts as well as relevant governance best practices
Familiarity with educational concepts, with experience in the online education environment
