After Hours Veterinary Nurse | Gauteng, Pretoria East
Job Description
Ensure all team members provide quality and ethical care to all clients and their pets.
Assess, examine, and diagnose patients' medical issues.
Perform surgery, dress, and treat wounds.
Perform diagnostic laboratory, imaging and ultrasound testing where required.
Prescribe medication.
Promote preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations and immunisations.
Educate clients on positive lifestyle choices for pets.
Euthanise patients if and when needed.
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
Maintain patients' medical records.
BVSc degree with current SAVC registration.
CPD requirements fully up to date.
Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning.
A genuine love for animals and dedication to their welfare.
3+ years' experience in small animal practice (preferred).
Between 3 - 5 Years
