About the Role
We're looking for a patient, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to assist primary school children with their homework during aftercare hours. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young minds, values structure, and brings a calm, encouraging presence to the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one and small group homework support in subjects like Maths, English, and Afrikaans
Create a positive and focused learning environment
Communicate with parents and staff about children's progress and challenges
Encourage good study habits and celebrate small victories
Assist with light supervision and occasional activities when homework is complete
Requirements
Matric certificate (additional education or childcare training is a plus)
Strong command of primary school subjects
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Previous experience working with children preferred
