We are recruiting for a highly motivated Teacher's Aide and Aftercare Assistant.

Position overview:

The

Teacher's Aide and Aftercare Assistant

will be responsible for assisting Educators within the classroom, as well as supervising students in the aftercare program and ensuring their safety and well-being. The purpose of the position is to create a safe, nurturing environment where students can engage in structured activities and complete homework assignments.

Responsibilities:

. Supervise Aftercare Activities:

Plans, implements, and supervises aftercare activities that promote student learning and development, ensuring that all activities are safe and appropriate for the age group of the students. Monitors student attendance and ensures all necessary records are maintained. Communicates with parents and staff regarding aftercare activities and student progress.

. Maintain Safe and Secure Environment

Monitors student behaviour and ensures that students are kept safe and secure. Ensures that all equipment and supplies are safe, clean, and in good working order.

. Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to ensure a seamless transition from the school day to aftercare

. Administrative Tasks

Maintains accurate records of aftercare attendance Communicates with parents regarding aftercare schedules Orders supplies and equipment necessary for the aftercare program.

. Teacher's Aide (Education Relief) Tasks

Help students with assignments and classwork. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students who need extra help. Monitor and supervise students during lunch, recess, and other non-classroom activities. Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly classroom environment. Attend training sessions and professional development workshops to enhance teaching skills. Assist in organising and participating in school events, such as field trips and parent-teacher conferences.

Requirements:

Matric (National Senior Certificate) - No tertiary qualification required as is entry-level position, however, having a teaching qualification is advantageous. 1-2 years experience (preferred) Must reside in Centurion Must have valid Police Clearance.

Pay: R6000,00 per month
