Role Overview



We are seeking a motivated and dedicated

Junior Attorney

with 2-4 years' post-articles experience to join our litigation team. The successful candidate will handle a variety of matters across the general litigation spectrum, with exposure in both Magistrates' Court and High Court practice.

Key Responsibilities



Manage own caseload of litigation files supported by senior attorneys. Draft pleadings, notices, applications, and correspondence. Appear in Magistrates' Court and High Court for motion and trial proceedings. Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions. Liaise with clients, counsel, experts, and other stakeholders. Assist with debt recovery, insolvency, and enforcement proceedings. Ensure compliance with professional and ethical obligations.

Requirements



LLB degree and admission as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa. 2-4 years' post-articles experience, with a focus on general litigation. Sound knowledge of the Uniform Rules of Court and Magistrates' Court Rules. Strong drafting, research, and advocacy skills. Ability to manage deadlines and handle matters independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
