-- and we need someone who can bring structure, systems, and sanity to the chaos of rapid growth.
The Role
We're looking for an
Administrative & Operations Manager
to join our HQ in
Claremont
. This is a
pivotal role
-- the first full-time office-based position in Ground Culture's history, and the backbone of how we'll operate as we grow.
You'll be responsible for keeping the business running smoothly behind the scenes: managing suppliers, stock, systems, HR processes, and operational reporting across all stores. You'll work directly with the Managing Director and communicate daily with store managers in Observatory, Claremont, Sea Point, and Table View.
This is not a passive desk job -- it's a
high-responsibility position
that will require you to think critically, problem-solve fast, and build systems from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier & Procurement Management
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers.
Source new suppliers, negotiate better pricing, and manage supplier accounts.
Handle supplier onboarding and ensure all payments and deliveries are tracked accurately.
Orders & Invoicing
Place and track orders across all stores.
Ensure supplier deliveries occur on schedule and resolve stock or delivery issues fast.
Assist store managers with shortages and coordinate replenishments efficiently.
Stock & Inventory Oversight
Monitor stock levels and usage across all stores.
Investigate stock variances and implement accountability systems.
Ensure HQ and all stores are fully stocked and tracked correctly at all times.
Store Performance Tracking
Collect and review store reports on income, expenses, and daily performance.
Track and present key metrics including
Uber Eats ratings, variance scores, sales, and profit margins.
Identify weak spots and work with managers to fix operational inefficiencies.
Human Resources & Admin
Manage active recruitment: post jobs, shortlist candidates, and arrange interviews.
Maintain staff records, contracts, and pay slips.
Communicate with employees about HR concerns, leave, and payroll.
Ensure all compliance and paperwork are always up to date.

Compensation
Starting salary:
