Job SummaryHire Resolve's Client, a specialist cell captive insurance Company is looking for an Actuarial Specialist to join their team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will join a small actuarial team that is responsible for implementing the actuarial control function across the licenses and provides actuarial services to departments within the company.The position will report to the Head: Corporate Actuarial and will assist with the following:

  • Calculation and management of technical provisions
  • Calculation and management of the regulatory and economic capital models
  • Development and maintenance of actuarial models
  • ORSA and Risk Appetite
  • Reinsurance structuring
  • Perform actuarial/statistical analyses on data
  • Ad-hoc actuarial project
Key Requirements:
  • Making good progress with actuarial exams
  • At least 3 years of insurance experience
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment and applicable legislation

  • Effectiveness and efficiency in performing tasks
