Job Summary We're Hiring: Actuarial Senior Analyst Cape TownCape Town, Western Cape | Hybrid | PermanentWere looking for a nearly qualified actuary or senior actuarial student to join a dynamic team supporting a diverse group risk product rangexe2x80x94including Life, Funeral, PHI, Lump Sum Disability, and Credit Life.
Youll dive deep into valuations, financial results, claims data, and experience investigationsxe2x80x94all while helping steer product performance with sharp insight and solid analysis. This role offers a rare balance of technical depth and business exposure.What Youll Be Doing:
- Delivering quarterly valuation results and performing liability calculations
- Analyzing embedded values and financial results across group risk products
- Interpreting profit metrics to support business decisions
- Leading experience studies, sensitivity testing, and claims analysis
- Taking ownership of selected products from a statutory actuary lens
- Spotting opportunities for process improvement and automation
- A degree in Actuarial Science (or similar)
- At least 7 A-series exams completed, and progressing well
- 35 years experience in a valuations or reporting role
- Advanced Excel skills (you love a good spreadsheet!)
- Bonus points for SQL or other data tool experience
