The successful candidate will report directly to the Creditors Manager.
Position Overview

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for assisting the manager with managing the accounts payable department and is ultimately responsible for the efficient payment of all company invoices in a timely fashion.

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible assisting the staff and to ensure that all recons are submitted on time for payment.
Specific Role Responsibilities

• Ensure all staff members submit recons on time and correctly.

• Checking recons submitted by Accounts Payable team.

• Ensure the Accounts Payable team reply to all queries in a timely manner and all queries are dealt with correctly and efficiently.

• Assist Accounts Payable team with difficult suppliers and reconciliations of creditors accounts.

• Compiling monthly query sheets.

• Preparation of excel payment files.

• Performing month end process.

• Maintain excellent working relationships with external suppliers.

• Maintain excellent working relationships with internal departments.

• Motivating and leading the Accounts Payable team assigned to you.

• Performance management of Accounts Payable team.

• Ad-hoc duties to support the business

• Grade 12 /Matric

• A good knowledge & understanding of the Accounts Payable function with a minimum of 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in Accounts Payable and reconciling accounts

• Proven experience within a high volume / high pressure accounts payable environment

• Excellent excel skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with accountants, clients, and senior management.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.

• Attention to detail.

• Deadline driven and strong sense of urgency.

• Must be able to multi-task.

• Must be able to work well under pressure and handle pressure
