Do you have experience leading an accounts payable team and making sure suppliers are paid on time, every time? My client is looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor who can bring structure, consistency, and accountability to their payment processes.
My client is a growing national organisation with a busy finance department. They're looking for someone to supervise their AP team, manage invoice processing, ensure vendor accounts are up to date, and maintain payment accuracy across the board. This role requires a reliable leader, someone who takes ownership of the payment cycle, resolves issues quickly, and keeps reconciliations clean and current.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the AP team and review all invoice processing
• Approve reconciliations and ensure no aged queries linger
• Maintain updated vendor banking details and resolve escalated supplier issues
• Authorise payments and ensure that all transactions are accurate and timely
• Flag unusual or high-value payments for review
• Clear old purchase orders and support regular financial housekeeping
• Assist with reporting and general finance team support when needed

What do you need:

• Matric (Grade 12) and experience in a supervisory AP role
• 3-5 years within an accounts payable environment
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
• Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and support a small team
• Detail-focused with solid communication skills
• Confident in reviewing and approving payments
• Logical thinker with good problem-solving skills
