Responsibilities:

What we're looking for:


To efficiently manage the full accounts payable function, DPO, ensuring payments to suppliers are made in a timely manner, supplier queries resolved and cashflow is effectively utilized. To ensure staff are adequately trained, developed and are operating effectively.

Accountabilities

Manage the full accounts payable function within the organisation's established policies, including managing the creditors team, motivating and developing them Ensure smooth reconciliation process, ensuring payments are calculated accurately and

within agreed terms, review audit trails and ensure that the appropriate levels of internal controls are maintained

Effectively manage Cash flow and Creditors days through negotiation of favourable terms with suppliers and liaising with management regarding timing of payments Actively engaging with all relevant stakeholders, including suppliers, purchasing and operations department in resolving any payment related problem that could result in the

breakdown of supplying goods/service

Making sound decisions under pressure ensuring company policies and procedures are followed Review accrual reconciliations, follow up on outstanding items and consider areas for improvement Improve Accounts Pavable policies and processes, ensurinq better utilisation of IT

Achieve and exceed DPO targets Maximise cashflow position Promote an environment with competent, motivated staff Staff development and training Improved supplier and customer relations

DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY



(Give examples of decisions made with/without reference to Manager, explain frequency of contact with Manager)



Negotiate and correspond with suppliers regarding payment terms, settlement discounts, queries etc. Problem solving, internal (e.g.GRN's, 3 way matching) and external (Suppliers) with and without reference depending on significance of problem Timing/Management of Cashflow with reference to management Recruitment of competent staff members as and when necessary Staff leave approval



Qualifications:

What will qualify you for the role

:Excellent interpersonal, communication skills. 3 year Financial Accounting Diploma/degree MS Office E RP system knowledge (SAP4Hana) 3 - 5 years Accounts Payable Management ex Aptitude for figures
