Accounts Payable Controller
Job Description
Remote position (with possibility of hybrid working model), must be based in Johannesburg
Well-established concern within the Property / Real Estate industry seeks competent Accounts Payable Controller with relevant Accounting / Finance Diploma and at least 3 years experience in a Creditors / Accounts Payable function. Must have advanced Excel ability and experience of Accounting packages such as Zoho Box, QuickBooks and Sage.
Responsibilities will include providing financial support by facilitating timely and accurate payments through obtaining approvals from relevant stakeholders, verifying payments, processing transactions, and conducting reconciliations. The successful candidate will also be overseeing the day-to-day management of the payment cycle to ensure efficiency and perform other functions such as accounts administration, procurement management, supplier relationship management, asset management, and reporting.
Requirements:
- Minimum Accounting / Finance Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years working in a Creditors / Accounts Payable environment
- Ability to independently manage the Creditors function
- Proficient in MS Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel (preferably advanced skills)
- Proficiency and comprehensive understanding of Accounting Packages such as Zoho Box, QuickBooks, Sage
- Must have a reliable internet solution
- Must be able to work extended hours where / when needed
