Introduction:
A fast-growing and internationally recognised financial services firm specialising in private equity and venture capital fund administration is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their expanding team in Century City.
As an Accounting Specialist , you will manage daily ledger maintenance, AP/AR, and bank/credit card reconciliations, while supporting tax compliance and monthly reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Record journal entries, complete bank reconciliations, and ensure the accuracy of general ledger balances.
Reconcile corporate credit cards and review employee expense reports for compliance and accuracy.
Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
Prepare 1099 forms and assist with federal, state, and local tax-related filings and documentation.
Administer and maintain multiple cloud-based accounting systems and tools.
Respond to client inquiries and handle special or time-sensitive requests as they arise.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
0-1 year of relevant accounting experience, including exposure to general ledger activities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel skills; experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software preferred.
Self-motivated, hands-on professional with strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the confidence to take ownership of accounting responsibilities.
