Job Purpose
The Department, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to render an effective and efficient revenue and expenditure service in the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS).
Minimum Requirements
Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification) with Accounting or Mathematics as passed subjects.

Key Performance Areas
Compile and coordinate monthly cashflows inputs; Capturing of virements/shifting of funds; Draw BAS reports to update monthly cashflows and personnel audits; Assist in the preparation of monthly finance focus meetings
Competencies
A good understanding of the following:
Public Finance Management Act (PFMA); Treasury Regulations; Basic Accounting System (BAS).
Skills needed:
Written and verbal communication; Proven computer literacy; Planning and Organising; Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Remuneration
R 228 321- R 268 950 per annum (Salary Level 5)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to do a practical and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
