Accounting Associate
(Remote | Full-Time)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be a key contributor to the Finance department, working cross-functionally with both internal teams and external partners. You'll play a vital part in ensuring accurate financial operations, supporting month-end processes, and helping drive scalable systems in a high-growth environment.
What You'll Do
Collaborate with and help manage the relationship with our outsourced accounting partner to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, timely month- and year-end close, and accurate financial reporting
Partner with FP&A, leadership, and department heads to analyze operating results, monitor financial trends, and report key performance indicators
Work closely with the Controller to improve and streamline the month-end close process
Oversee payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments, including bonuses and incentive compensation
Review and process additional pay items (e.g. W-2s, 1099s), and verify payroll tax filings for compliance and accuracy
Manage accounts payable: review, code, and process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and corporate card transactions in line with policies
Maintain vendor records, monitor the AP inbox, and manage the Finance calendar to track deadlines for reporting and compliance
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and other adjustments to support accurate month- and year-end financial closes
Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure data integrity
Support regulatory filings, including surveys, franchise taxes, and annual reports
Serve as a key point of contact for finance-related employee and vendor inquiries
Assist with ad hoc financial analyses and special projects to support business decisions and improve efficiency

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
2+ years of experience in accounting, with exposure to payroll and accounts payable
Experience in healthcare services is a strong plus
Familiarity with accounting and business tools; experience with Rippling, Ramp, and QuickBooks Online is a plus
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
