Part-Time Accountant

Fully Remote | South Africa | 3 days per week (with a view to full-time)

Salary:

FTE ZAR 40,000 per month pro-rata for 3-days.

The Role

We're hiring a

part-time Accountant (3 days per week)

to join our growing team. You'll report directly into our brilliant

Head of Accounting

and work closely with a wonderful group of finance professionals who are all passionate about helping charities.

This role is

based in South Africa

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be hands-on with real charity finance work, including:

Reviewing and optimising chart of account structures so charities can track real world impact. Embedding automation and rules to improve efficiency. Reviewing transactions and preparing reconciliations. Owning month-end close procedures for a portfolio of UK charities. Preparing insightful management accounts to help charities make confident decisions. Working with cloud accounting software (Xero / QuickBooks / Sage) Collaborating with the wider team to improve processes and quality Helping charities make better financial decisions

proper accounting work

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

Is a fully qualified accountant. Has strong experience with Xero, Quickbooks and Sage. Ideally certified. Has excellent English speaking proficiency. Has a

genuine passion for accounting.

Cares about

purpose-driven work.

Enjoys working with charities or wants to build experience in the sector. Is a proactive and reliable

team player.
