Job Summary:
We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, supporting audits, and contributing to the financial efficiency of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation and explanations.
Monitor and manage cash flow and working capital.
Ensure adherence to accounting principles and company financial policies.
Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, SAP).
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is a strong advantage.
Experience in [industry-specific accounting - e.g., retail, manufacturing, non-profit].
Familiarity with ERP systems.
