Job Description
Small accounting, auditing and taxation firm servicing clients, large and small, across various industries.
An accountant: THIS IS FIRST CHOICE AND MUST BE THE FOCUS
This could be a person ranging from mid-level, to senior, which probably has a salary range from the lower R30,000's, to maybe R55,000. The essential (and largely non-negotiable) requirements would be:
Has worked in a smaller to medium sized accounting firm (critical and non-negotiable), working on clients in the private sector, not public sector. Skilled in the use of Caseware (for drafting AFS) Can use the typical range of accounting packages, eg. Pastel, Sage, Xero, etc. A good working knowledge of SARS, tax in general, and the e-filing system Own vehicle and valid licence (to visit clients) Fluent in English, both written and spoken Versatile character, able to juggle tasks, talk to clients, work with staff etc. Suitable personality for a smaller firm (willing to get stuck in), but someone with ambition and zeal.

Auditor (RA - Registered Auditor): tHIS IS SECOND CHOICE AND ONLY IF WE CANNOT FIND A SUITABLE CANDIDATE FOR #1.
This candidate would be (non-neg):
Qualified CA(SA), looking to make a career in auditing (CA(SA) qualification is non-negotiable) Must already be a Registered Auditor Probably someone fairly newly qualified, and keen to build a career in this field, with a smaller firm. Experienced in Caseware and accounting packages Relevant auditing experience in commerce, not public sector Own vehicle and valid licence (to visit clients)
Note:
Client will be quite selective and demanding. They are a fairly small team, and cannot afford failures.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to R50000,00 per month
Work Location: In person
