One of the country's largest fruit exporters, offers a challenging role to a dynamic individual in the capacity of Accountant. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be based in Upington, Northern Cape responsible for supporting the farming operations (mainly table grapes, citrus and raisins) in Kanoneiland area, Upington and Augrabies

Key Performance Areas (KPA's):
KPA's will include (but are not limited to) the following essential responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence & compliance with the Group's Accounting Policies & Procedures that complies to IFRS
• Accurate & timeous monthly local and global financial reporting
• Assist Finance Manager in compilation of annual budgets
• Strict budget control and cost management according to the company's Global Financial policies
• Strict Cash flow management
• Fixed Asset management
• Accounts Receivable & Accountants Payable Management
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks requested from time to time
• Detailed General Ledger reconciliations
• Statutory Reporting to SARS
• Assist with Management of the company's offices on the Northern Cape Farms
• Staff Wellbeing - line management responsibility to Wages, Admin and Finance Clerks
• Jointly responsible with the Payroll Controller for Farms Payroll performance

Education & Experience:

• B.Com Accounting/Financial Management qualification with at least 5 years working experience - preferably in the fruit and/or agricultural industry.
• Ideally, completed Professional Qualification and registration with a professional body (CIMA/SAIPA) will be advantageous
