Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant who will ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial submissions. This pivotal role involves overseeing the preparation of financial reports prior to submission to the Financial Reporting Manager, managing operating capital, and driving excellence across the accounting function.

Responsibilities :

1. Financial reporting:

Collate, prepare and interpret reports.

2. Manage the accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.

3. Ensuring tax compliance and compliance with statutory regulations.

4. Managing the audit process and ensuring financial statements are completed.

5. Managing budgets, variance analysis.

6. Review Store Management accounts for 17 stores.

7. Review cash ups:

Verify Cash banking, Mr D, Uber eats, Yumbi and Cards recons.

8. Review VAT calculations and submit to FM for review.

9. Accurate review of payments and timely submission throughout the month.

10. Review FAR as per physical verifications.

11. Overseeing store budgets.

Requirements :

1. 5 Years' experience in a similar role.

2. Sound understanding of the finance function and a hands-on approach.

3. 5 years' experience on Sage 50/ Pastel Evolution or similar system.

4. Previous experience in the FMCG, Fast Food or Retail sectors.

5. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
