Job Description

Our client, a leader in digital product distribution, is seeking an experienced Accountant to support the Stock & Reconciliation Financial Manager in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records relating to virtual airtime stock and online integrations.
This role is based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.
Key Responsibilities:

• Investigating and resolving daily reconciliation exceptions
• Performing full accounting functions including journal preparation, invoice postings, supplier account reconciliations, and commission calculations
• Managing customer and supplier relationships from a finance perspective
• Monitoring and maintaining financial controls around ERP processing
• Reviewing and maintaining creditor reconciliation processes, with a focus on commission accuracy
• Performing stock reconciliation between control accounts and the general ledger (AP, AR, Stock)
• Validating supplier payments and monthly reconciliations
• Investigating inventory discrepancies between warehouse records and the ERP system
• Ensuring adherence to internal controls and compliance standards around inventory accounting
• Addressing and clearing reconciliation review notes timeously
• Contributing to ad-hoc finance projects and continuous process improvements

• BCom Degree in Accounting or similar
• 3+ years of experience in a similar accounting/reconciliation role
• Strong understanding of stock accounting, ERP systems, and reconciliations
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage exceptions and risk
• Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
