Are you an experienced and detail-driven Accountant looking to take ownership of fixed asset management, trust accounting, and stock reconciliation? Join my clients finance team and play a critical role in driving accurate reporting, compliance, and strategic budgeting.As an Accountant , you will be responsible for the following:

• Oversee fixed assets and maintain accurate records
• Monitor Capex budgets and keep the Capex schedule updated.
• Create purchase orders for Capex-related items and ensure all related invoices are paid.
• Capitalize purchased assets and post all necessary journals.
• Tag assets with appropriate asset numbers.
• Facilitate the asset disposal process, ensuring correct documentation, system updates, and journal postings.
• Run monthly depreciation and post depreciation journals.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and audit schedules related to fixed assets.
• Maintain and reconcile the Capex schedule and update wear-and-tear schedules.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting for multiple trusts.
• Post intercompany, depreciation, and other accounting journals.
• Run and review monthly financial statements and submit to the Trust Administrator.
• Complete and file SARS income tax returns (annually) and VAT returns (monthly and bimonthly).
• Prepare annual financial statements for trusts and manage audit preparation.
• Support auditors with all fixed asset and trust-related queries.

What Do You Need?:

• 3-5 years experience in similar role.
• Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., BCom, BCompt, SAIPA/SAICA articles)
• Experience in AccPac and Dbit will be beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently
