Opportunity for a Skilled Accountant in the Construction Sector - Pretoria, Centurion
Company and : An established organization within the construction industry is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. This opportunity offers exposure to the full financial function, involvement in core accounting processes, and the chance to work in a dynamic, project-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the general ledger
• Perform reconciliations (GL / recons / TB)
• Prepare financial statements up to FS level
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
• Collaborate with internal teams to support financial operations

Job Experience and Skills Required
Education BCom degree
Experience

• 3-5 years' experience in an accounting role
• Exposure to the full financial function (GL, recons, TB, FS)
• Experience in the construction industry is advantageous

Skills / Technical Competencies

• Buildsmart proficiency is a MUST (non-negotiable)
• Strong understanding of accounting processes
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Other Non-Negotiables

• Proven experience with Buildsmart (essential)
• Accuracy, reliability, and strong organizational skills
