Job Description
Job Summary
Company and : An established organization within the construction industry is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. This opportunity offers exposure to the full financial function, involvement in core accounting processes, and the chance to work in a dynamic, project-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the general ledger
- Perform reconciliations (GL / recons / TB)
- Prepare financial statements up to FS level
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- Collaborate with internal teams to support financial operations
Education BCom degree
Experience
- 3-5 years' experience in an accounting role
- Exposure to the full financial function (GL, recons, TB, FS)
- Experience in the construction industry is advantageous
- Buildsmart proficiency is a MUST (non-negotiable)
- Strong understanding of accounting processes
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proven experience with Buildsmart (essential)
- Accuracy, reliability, and strong organizational skills
