Trugate (Pty) Ltd is acting on behalf of an international investment company which owns a hotel with an estimated annual turnover of R100 million, expecting to increase to R200million following refurbishment, and is seeking to appoint an experienced Hotel Accountant.

ACCOUNTANT (HOTEL INDUSTRY)

Close to Kuils River, Cape Town

Trugate (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Hotel Accountant to manage the accounts of a company which owns an international hotel.

This is a full-time role, suited to a detail-oriented finance professional with solid hospitality experience and the flexibility to travel internationally several times per year.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full accounting functions for the hotel, including month-end and year-end reporting Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts Ensure compliance with company policies, international regulations and reporting standards Accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions Liaise with external auditors, head office finance teams, and internal stakeholders Monitor cash flow, cost controls, and operational financial performance Support management with financial insights and decision-making

Requirements

Minimum of 5 - 6 years' experience in a hotel or hospitality accounting role - essential
Graduate with a BCom degree in accounting - essential

Strong knowledge of hotel accounting systems and financial controls Experience working within an internationally owned or managed organisation (advantageous) High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail Strong communication and reporting skills

Additional Requirements

Willingness and ability to

travel internationally 5-6 times per year

Position: Full-time office-based, with working hours 08:00 to 17:00.

Salary: Market-related, competitive salary, based on experience.
