An international consulting firm that provides outsourced finance and accounting support to small businesses across various industries in the United States is looking for an

Accountant/Bookkeeper

in SA to join them

remotely

. Their mission is to help business owners gain clarity and confidence in their numbers through accurate bookkeeping, insightful reporting, and strong financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end bookkeeping functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing. Perform monthly reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data. Assist with accounting clean-ups, identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records. Maintain and update spreadsheets for reporting and financial analysis. Collaborate with US-based clients and team members to gather information, organize documentation, and ensure timely communication. Support the preparation of management reports and contribute to continuous process improvement within the finance function.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

A relevant accounting or finance qualification (Diploma or Degree preferred). Minimum of

3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience

. Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping best practices. Proficiency in accounting systems such as

QuickBooks, Ramp, Bill.com, or Gusto

. Advanced

Excel skills

(e.g., SUMIFS, INDEX MATCH). Excellent attention to detail, organizational ability, and time management skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.

Salary

* Starting from R25 000 CTC per month and higher depending on experience.
