Accountant
Salary: R45000 p/m
Area: Germiston. Gauteng
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, compliance, and reporting, with a strong ability to lead and support the accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Oversee accounts payable and ensure timely payments.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including timely submission of returns.
- Support audits and other financial reporting requirements.
- Manage intercompany loan accounts and transactions across our group of companies.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare intercompany invoices and ensure proper recording of transactions.
- Lead and mentor team members within the accounting department.
- Perform other duties as required in line with the position.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Completed articles (SAICA or SAIPA) will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Clear credit and criminal record checks.
- Verification of highest level of education.
- Valid professional references.
